Median pay is the U.S. national median for everyone in the job (half earn more, half less) from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, May 2025. Starting pay is what graduates of these programs earned in their first year after finishing, from the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard: the typical program at schools within about 250 miles of St. Louis, or the national figure when fewer than 3 local programs report it. Starting pay is usually lower, and pay in Missouri and Illinois can differ. Tuition is the typical in-district rate at the community colleges in our data; clinical and technical programs often add fees, uniforms and exam costs, and many have competitive admission. Apprenticeships and academies are often paid by the employer or union; check each program.
